New Yakuza 6 Characters – Mafia From Japan, Korea, and China, and More

This week’s Weekly Famitsu introduces several new Yakuza 6 characters, with ties to mafia groups of various factions and countries. These new faces can be seen in action next week on the August 23 edition Toshihiro Nagoshi’s SEGANama broadcast. The archive will surely find its way to YouTube at a later date. Ahead of this broadcast, check out some character sketch details below.

  • Takaki Matsunaga (Ishimoto Doronzu): Hirose family. Despite his severe look, he moves at his own pace.
  • Naoto Tagashira (Yoshimasa Hosoya): Hirose family wakashu. Easygoing and down-to-earth.
  • Kazuaki Iino (Noboyuki Hiyama): He is strongly connected to new character Nagumo Tsuyoshi of the Hirose family. He is in love with new character Kiyomi Kasahara, but she ignores him.
  • Katsumi Sagai (Ryusei Nako): Leader of the Sugai group of the Tojo Clan. Cunning, and apparently involved in the Asia District’s great fire that sets off the events of Yakuza 6.
  • Hyozo Iwaomi (Masane Tsukayama): Built up an international ship-building company based in Hiroshima, he is in old age by the events of Yakuza 6.
  • Kanji Koshimizu (Ayumi Tanida): Right-hand of the Himei Association. Relishes the spirit of battle and fighting against the strong.
  • Koji Masuzoe (Wataru Takagi): Boss of the Masuzoe group of the Himei Association. A man of severe disposition and violent behavior who elicits fear from his subordinates.
  • Big Lou (Junpei Morita): Chinese mafia leader. The Chinese mafia advances on Kamurocho under his command, following the great fire in the Asia District.
  • Han Jungi (Yuichi Nakamura): Leader of the Jingweon faction of the Korean mafia. In the past, Kazuma Kiryu ruined his life.
