Yakuza Kiwami Coming West for PS4 in Summer 2017

EU publisher Deep Silver has posted an announcement trailer for Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of the original Yakuza, revealing that the game is heading West exclusively for the PS4! The trailer is listed as a PlayStation Experience 2016 announcement trailer, an event which is currently underway, so this reveal from Deep Silver seems to be a bit early. Thanks to Gematsu for picking up on the news. We’ll post more details as soon as we learn more! Below you can find the trailer and more info from Deep Silver!

In 2005, a legend was born on the PlayStation 2 – the legend of Kazuma Kiryu, the Dragon of Dojima, in his video game debut with Yakuza. Now, 11 years after that release, a new generation of players will be able to experience the incomparable action and drama of the Yakuza series with the rebuilt-from-scratch HD remake exclusive to PlayStation 4, Yakuza Kiwami.

Nice! I bet they had the original translation in good care so they don’t need more than a year for localization as always, either that or they were actually working in both games simultaneously. Now the doubt will be how much time to localize Yakuza 6? 2018 will be a long year lol (and Shenmue 3 has been screaming “delay” since the announcement lol)
