Revolution of the Blue Sky Release Date

Liberation of the Blue Sky Gets Release Date And Launch Trailer in Japan

SEGA’s upcoming mobile action-RPG for iOS and Android, Liberation of the Blue Sky, has now received a release date in Japan. The game will be available starting May 19, and SEGA have posted a new trailer for the game on their Youtube channel. As we talked about earlier, a free character based on the violinist Ayasa will be given to anyone who preregistered for the game. You can find the trailer below. The game’s main theme that’s featured in the trailer, called “Overnight Revolution”, was done by AKINO with bless4.

As for the changes of this game reaching the West, it’s not clear what SEGA’s strategy is at the moment. SEGA has terminated quite a few mobile games in the West lately, and it seems they’re having difficulty reproducing the success of their bigger mobile games from Japan overseas. As they pointed out in their financial report, the market is not leaving a lot of room for smaller mobile games anymore either. In an effort to increase the quality of the games to make them stand out from the competition, they need to spend more time and invest more resources into them. It’ll be interesting to see if Liberation of the Blue Sky becomes a success. It at least deserves credit for trying a different approach with its 2D action-RPG gameplay.
