Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Review (PS4)

The original Odin Sphere is a 2D action RPG developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus, which was released back in 2007 on the PS2. At the time it was praised for its stunning 2D visuals and intuitive gameplay, but it suffered from a low framerate. 9 years later, Atlus and Vanillaware have once again teamed up to release Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, a remastered version of the original, on the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Taking advantage of the more powerful hardware, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir attempts to resolve the problems with the original game. Below, you can find my review of the game’s PlayStation 4 version!

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Now Available in NA and EU, New Launch Trailer Revealed

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for the Wii U is now available in North America and Europe, and to celebrate the game’s launch, Nintendo have released a new launch trailer for the game, which you can view below. Developed by Atlus and published by Nintendo, the game is a crossover RPG for the Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem series, and it’s probably also the closest thing you’ll get to a Persona game on the Wii U. While we couldn’t secure a review copy for our website, the various reviews that have hit the web in recent days have been quite positive.

On a personal note, I just picked up my copy of the game, and I’ll probably still be writing a review for our website at some point. If there’s any interest in seeing a live stream of the game on Segalization’s Youtube channel, let us know in the comments!

Atlus Caligula Announcement 03

Limited Run Games Expresses Interest in Releasing a Physical Version of Caligula

After Atlus announced a digital-only release for Caligula in the Americas and Europe at the end of E3 2016, Limited Run Games tweeted to Atlus that they should team up to release a physical version of the game. Atlus community manager John Hardin shared his thoughts on the matter on Twitter as well, saying that he doesn’t know whether or not a Limited Run Games partnership for a physical release of Caligula is feasible, but that (unlike with Yakuza 5) it may not be impossible. So it seems Limited Run Games may actually have a chance at making a deal with Atlus and FuRyu. Interestingly, John had actually anticipated that Limited Run Games would be contacting him regarding Caligula.

At the moment, Caligula is scheduled to be released in the Americas and Europe as a digital download title. The release date hasn’t been announced yet. Meanwhile, the game will be released in Japan on June 23.

They’ll be publishing Caligula, an RPG for the PlayStation Vita which is being developed by Aquria, in both the Americas and the EU. Previously, Atlus had already worked together with FuRyu to release The Legend of Legacy in the Americas.
