Puyo Puyo Tetris is Getting a Worldwide Release on Nintendo Switch and PS4 (UPDATED)

UPDATE: SEGA has now announced a PS4 release as well, and an official launch trailer and press release, which have been added to the article below. The game will be releasing as a physical version only on PS4 for $29.99, while the Nintendo Switch version will be available digitally for $29.99 and physically for $39.99, with a special launch edition that includes two Puyo Puyo- and Tetris-themed keychains (while supplies last).

During the recent Nintendo Switch event, Puyo Puyo Tetris was briefly shown being played on the Nintendo Switch. With the event over, the official website of Puyo Puyo Tetris has been updated with more information on this new version of the game for Nintendo Switch, titled Puyo Puyo Tetris S in Japan. The game will be released in Japan on March 3, 2017 as a launch game for the Nintendo Switch. The official website also reveals that the game will get a release in the United States, Europe and other countries, where it will simply be called Puyo Puyo Tetris, although the release date for that version is unknown at the moment. Interestingly, a “Worldwide Puzzle League” mode will allow for worldwide multi-player (albeit without cross-platform support).

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Gets New DLC Introduction Trailer, Retail Sales Around 50K Copies in the US

Video game industry analyst ZHugeEX tweeted out sales results for the first month of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. According to ZHugeEX, the game has sold around the 50k mark in retail sales in the US in June. Which is neither good nor bad, and actually more than what it sold in Japan. Nintendo also released a new DLC Introduction trailer for the game, which details the contents of the various DLC packs (excluding the Hot Spring DLC, which isn’t available in the West). Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Gets Two New Videos: “Reincarnation” and “Feel”

Nintendo has released two new trailers for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, the crossover JRPG for the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei series, showing the music videos for Kiria’s song “Reincarnation”, and Tsubasa’s song “Feel”. Nintendo and Atlus announced earlier that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE would be playable at PAX East, and we’ve now got two recordings showing gameplay footage from the game at the event.
