2nd Batch of March DLC for Project DIVA F 2nd Released

The second batch of DLC for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd has been released in the US and the EU. Below you’ll find an overview of the 2nd batch content, complemented with screenshots. For more information on the other March DLC content, you can read our previous article here. Word of warning though: it seems the Snow Miku 2005 Costume Module is currently not listed as free for owners of the Costume Club Season Pass in the EU. There have been various problems like this with the Project DIVA F 2nd DLC releases so far, but as with the previous ones, this will probably be resolved soon.

Sega Reveals New Project DIVA F 2nd DLC for February

Sega has announced the new Project Diva F 2nd DLC for February. The new DLC that’s already available today for the US includes the Rhythm Game Song “Rolling Girl” by wowaka and the three costumes “Chinese Debut”, “Mikudayo” and “Rolling Girl”. Additionally, two skins, “Kaito (Flower)” and “Crimson Leaf”, have also been made available (these are free for the first 39 days after release). As usual, this DLC will probably be available tomorrow for the EU.

Another batch of DLC will be released on February 17, and includes the Rhythm Game Songs “Change Me” by shu-t and “Yellow” by kz(livetune) together with the Costume Modules “Sweet Pudding” and “Yellow” for Hatsune Miku and “Lin Xiao-Mei” for Meiko.

New DLC for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd Releases This Week

Sega has announced the latest batch of DLC for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd, which will be made available this week. The update contains two Rhythm Game Songs: Sekiranun Graffiti by ryo and Ai Kotoba by DECO*27. It also contains another set of Costume Modules (six in total). This time around, there are costumes for Akita Neru, Yowane Haku and Kasane Teto. These are actually Vocaloids that aren’t in the regular game but are available as DLC. Aside from them, Meiko also gets one new costume while Hatsune Miku gets two. Sega is again selling a bundle of these costumes but these don’t include the Miku DLC (one of which is the “official” costume for Sekuranun Graffiti, while the other is the Type 2020 remake as seen in the featured image of the article). Five downloadable skins (only free for the first 39 days after release) have also been made available.

The DLC appears to be available now for the US and presumably tomorrow for the EU, but if you’re interested in buying the DLC, it might be worth noting that Sony will be providing a one-time 10% discount code in a total cart purchase to everyone impacted by the PSN outage at the end of last year. The discount code will be valid from January 23rd until January 26th. I believe this also applies to any Project DIVA F 2nd DLC, so if you’re thinking of buying the Song Club or even Costume Club Season Pass or any individual costumes or songs, you may want to wait a few days before purchasing the DLC.

Sega Releases First DLC Song and More Costumes for Project DIVA F 2nd

Sega has released their second batch of DLC for Project DIVA F 2nd today, this time including the first DLC song titled “Look This Way, Baby”. The song can be bought for $2.99, or as part of the $29.99 Song Club DLC season pass. The update also includes a new set of loungewear-themed Costume Modules, which you can see in the gallery below. More UI skins have also been made available. The new content is already available on the US PSN, and we expect it to be made available on the EU PSN tomorrow. Interestingly, on NeoGAF people that bought the Song Club DLC season pass reported that they managed to download the new costumes for free as well. This was probably not Sega’s intention, as the Song Club normally only grants access to the DLC for the Rhythm Songs and not the costumes. It seems this problem has already been resolved.

Sega Releases First batch of Post-Launch Project DIVA F 2nd DLC

Sega has released a new set of Christmas themed modules as part of their first batch of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd DLC. Each of the six Vocaloids has a Christmas Costume Module priced at $1.99. If you want all six of them and you haven’t bought the $69.99 Costume Club DLC, don’t go buy them separately just yet. Sega is planning to add a new bundle that offers all six of the modules at a discounted price. Several new UI skins have also been added, those are available for free for the first 39 days after their release. At the time of writing this content isn’t available in the EU yet, but I assume it will be tomorrow. You can see the six different Christmas costumes in the gallery at the bottom of this post.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd Review (PS3)

After the success of Project Diva F, the first Project Diva game to be localized for the western market, it was inevitable that Sega would end up localizing the sequel as well. Like its predecessor, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd is a rhythm game where the songs are sung by “Vocaloids”, virtual idols whose voices are synthesized by software created by Crypton Future Media. The most famous of these characters is also the titular singer of the game: Hatsune Miku. After two concerts in the US and an appearance in the talk show “Late Night with David Letterman”, the virtual idol’s popularity has certainly increased in the US since the release of the previous game. This means Project Diva F 2nd game should have a good chance at surpassing the success of Project Diva F, if it turns out to be just as good (or better) than its predecessor. And that’s exactly what I’ll be looking into in this review. While it’s been released on PS3 and PS Vita, I’ll be reviewing the PS3 version here. The PS Vita version is largely identical in terms of content to the PS3 version, so a lot of what you’ll find written below will also apply to that version. Read on to find out my thoughts on the game!
