Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X Receives PG Rating in Australia, Published by SEGA Europe

Gematsu reports that  Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X has received a rating in Australia, suggesting that the game will in fact be released there. What’s also interesting is that SEGA Europe is listed as the game’s publisher, so this makes it rather likely that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X will be released in Europe as well. Previously, SEGA Europe had stated that they were looking into releasing the game in Europe, although online retailer Rice Digital has been selling the EU version of the game for a while now. Hopefully, we’ll get a confirmation that the game is indeed heading to Europe soon!

I’m loosing count of how many games are announced, released or already on sale with all this disparity between regions, this will release in america, this in japan, and maybe this in europe… that can only ad confusion to the consumer.

I do agree. Things used to be simpler in Europe. While SEGA Europe wasn’t really visible to the consumer as a separate SEGA entity (that changed completely over the past year), whether or not a game would be released in Europe wasn’t really something we had to worry about At worst, we got a digital-only release, but typically it was released at around the same time. So the main question EU SEGA fans have is: what has changed since then?
