Project DIVA Future Tone DX - Suna no Wakusei

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX Adds “Dune” as 2nd New Song

UPDATE: Thanks to Atlus USA’s Sam Mullen for letting us know that the official English name for the song is “Dune”, and not “Sand Planet”, as I mistakenly wrote in the original version of the article.

Original article: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX will also be getting “Suna no Wakusei” (“Dune”), a 2nd new songs alongside the previously revealed “Ghost Rule”. The DX version of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone is a physical version of the complete game with a few extras. It’s scheduled to be released on November 22 in Japan, From the screenshot included, it seems the game will be using the actual music video for “Suna no Wakusei” in-game as well, rather than a custom 3D music video made specifically for the game. This now brings the total number of songs included in Project DIVA Future Tone DX to 238. You can view the music video for the song below.

Project DIVA Future Tone Review - 1

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone Review (PlayStation 4)

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone for the PlayStation 4 is the latest in a growing number of Project DIVA games that have been released in the West. But rather than being a sequel to the Project DIVA F and Project DIVA X games, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone on the PlayStation 4 is actually a port of the arcade game Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone. While it’s very similar in terms of its rhythm gameplay, it doesn’t contain additional elements such as the DIVA Room and Edit mode from Project DIVA F or the new story mode from Project DIVA X. But that doesn’t mean the PlayStation 4  port of Project DIVA Future Tone doesn’t feature a lot of content, quite the contrary. In fact, it also includes new features and modes that aren’t available in any of the previous Project DIVA games.

The SEGA feat. Hatsune Miku Project has announced that 2 songs and 10 modules will be added to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone on December 21. The songs are “Amatsu Kitsune” (“The Celestial Fox”) and 1925. It’s likely that this content will eventually make its way to the PlayStation 4 version of the game, which is already available in Japan and has recently been confirmed for a release in the West on January 10.

We assume the US PlayStation Store will also receive the 3rd Stage within the next 24 hours.

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA X - PlayStation 4 Pro

A Closer Look at the PlayStation 4 Pro Enhancements for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X

Recently, SEGA of Japan revealed that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X HD benefits from a number of improvements when running on the new PlayStation 4 Pro. As such the game also has the “PS4 Pro Enhanced” label now, which we can now also find on the game’s Japanese website. Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live benefited from a similar update. Yet curiously this information wasn’t featured in any media from Sony or SEGA in the West. It’s something that I find really puzzling as there aren’t many games that support the PS4 Pro at the moment, so it’s an ideal way to put the spotlight on your game. Rez Infinite is a perfect example, as plenty of articles were written on its native 4K support, including on the official Sony blog.
