SEGA 3D Classics, Project Mirai DX and Atlus RPGs Discounted on NA 3DS Eshop

While the SEGA 3D Classics Collection will be released on April 26th in North America, not every existing 3D Classic game will be included on the cartridge. You can, however, save money completing your collection as SEGA discounted the remaining titles on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Unfortunately 3D Sonic 2 has been excluded in the sale, but I’m confident SEGA will include it in a future Sonic franchise sale.

Sentai Filmworks Re-Releasing Sakura Wars TV

Sentai Filmworks Re-Releasing Sakura Wars TV as Part of the Sentai Selects Series

Earlier this year, Sentai Filmworks announced their new Sentai Selects series. The purpose of the series is to offer a wide range of anime that have withstood the test of time to remain popular and memorable works of their genre, at a cheaper MSRP price. More recently, Sentai Filmworks announced that they will be releasing Sakura Wars TV: Complete Collection as part of the Sentai Selects series on DVD.

Rightstuf lists the DVD set for an April 5th, 2016 release. The set will normally sell for $29.98, but Rightstuf is currently selling it for $19.49. It comes with a new cover and possibly a new keep case (originally, the case was thicker and the discs were stacked). Other than that there are no new special features and the series will still be on 4 discs. The boxart shown in the featured image is not final.

For those in the EU, the DVD set is also available via Archonia (keep in mind this is still a US import version). Below you can find an excerpt from the official press release with more details about the release.

The original Sentai Filmworks edition of the anime is out of print according to Rightstuf, so it’s a good sign that Sentai is putting the Sakura Wars license to good use. Perhaps one day we may even see the earlier OVA re-released.

Trauma Team Commencing Operation on North American eShop

Atlus has just released Trauma Team on Wii U eShop in North America. The game is the last entry of the Trauma Center series, and features a (mostly) new cast of characters. While the other entries feature surgery-only gameplay, Trauma Team will take you on a tour of other professions in the hospital such as studying symptoms during diagnosis or working with the skeletal system in orthopedic operations.

Trauma Team is a Wii Virtual Console title for download on Wii U, and will cost $19.99. Nintendo has a page for the game for more information. Hopefully Europe will get the game next; it’s a fantastic game that unfortunately fell under the radar during its original release. We’ve attached an old trailer for Trauma Team made by Atlus USA that was used to promote the original Wii version’s release. It covers the six types of gameplay.
