Sakura Wars, by 7AHO (featured)

Fanart by 7AHO, Featuring Characters From Sakura Wars, Persona 4 and KanColle

Given the long history for SEGA and also Atlus, there’s a ton of fanart related to their franchises out there. Today, we’d like to share some of the work from 7AHO, an artist from Indonesia who created rather splendid artwork based on franchises from both SEGA and Atlus, in particular of Sakura Wars and Persona 4.

We’d like to thank 7AHO for giving us permission to repost the artwork here. You can view them below! For even more of 7AHO’s artwork, check out his DeviantArt page!

Persona 4 Ultimax PlayStation Store Boxart

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is Part of the Free PlayStation Plus Games Lineup in February

One of the benefits of the PlayStation Plus subscription is that you get access to a free list of games every month. In February last year, Yakuza 4 was part of that list. Today, Sony revealed the games that will be made available to PS Plus subscribers this February in both the US and the EU, and it contains an Atlus game, namely Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. This 2D fighting game from Atlus is the sequel to the original Persona 4 Arena, and both games were developed by Arc System Works (known for Guilty Gear and BlazBlue).

Despite being 2D fighting games at heart, both featured an unusually elaborate plot, set after the events of Persona 4. Told in the style of a visual novel, the stories featured most of the main characters of Persona 3 and Persona 4, and also introduced new ones. For that reason, for fans of the Persona series the game is almost worth playing for the story alone. That said, the story relies heavily on the player’s knowledge of the previous games, so not knowing the background story or the characters will likely make the story a lot less interesting.

I do find it a bit surprising that they picked the sequel (Ultimax) for the PS Plus lineup instead of the original Persona 4 Arena, which to my knowledge has not been made available for free on PS Plus before. After all, the story for Ultimax serves as a direct sequel to Persona 4 Arena. Regardless, it’s both a solid fighting game and an elaborate epilogue to Persona 3 and Persona 4, so if you’re getting it for free, there’s no reason not to try the game!

Persona 4: Dancing All Night’s English Adachi and Marie Trailers

The Playstation Vita title Persona 4: Dancing All Night‘s North American release is only a week away, and Europe’s release is two weeks from now! As was the case with the Japanese release of the game, the extra characters Adachi and Marie will be available as paid DLC options at $4.99 apiece. Two people with unwieldy personalities, but maybe there’s something to love underneath all of that! Remember that they’re only available for play in the game’s Free Dance Mode (the same situation as Margaret,) and not the story scenarios for Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Persona 4 Dancing Marie

Persona 4: Dancing All Night’s Marie and Adachi Trailers

In a surprise announcement, Atlus revealed the presence of Marie and Adachi (this guy is kept on a short leash!) in Persona 4: Dancing All Night as purchasable DLC characters. The two characters will only be usable in the game’s Free Mode and will be releasing at separate dates: Marie on July 30th, and Adachi on August 6th.

Check out the short announcement trailers after the break! Persona 4: Dancing All Night is due for a Japanese release on the 25th of June. Keep in mind, it’s early in the morning of the 24th in Japan, as of this article’s publishing. If you’re a Persona fan, there are certainly reasons to be anticipating the game’s full release…
