Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X – Extended Gameplay Demo and Overview From E3 2016

GameSpot has published a 15-minute gameplay demo of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. Some of the demoed songs include Satisfaction, LOL – lots of laugh -, and Cyber Rock Jam – Cool Medley. Since part of the song list is viewable, we can also see the localized names for certain song titles, such as “Urotander Underhanded Rangers”.

This is meant to serve as an overview of what makes this game representative of the Project DIVA series in general, and also what makes this title different from previous entries, with such features as the new “Rush” mechanic where you mash the button as its prompted by the game. We should all be familiar by now with some of this game’s differences, including module collecting and equipping, and the new, conceptualized “story mode” of sorts known as the Live Quest mode, with character interactions and categorized song types.

Check out the video below! The demoed version of the game is the English version. Hopefully it may tide North American gamers over until its August 30th release date.

IGN Interview with Sam Mullen on Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X’s Module System

IGN conducted a short interview with Sam Mullen (listed as Atlus Producer) regarding Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. It focuses largely on the new module-gathering system for the game relative to other entries in the Project DIVA series. Whereas in the past modules were acquired simply by spending the requisite amount of points, in the Project DIVA X modules are acquired via successfully completing Chance Time in a song, at which point players will receive a randomly-generated module.

It is stated that the awarded module can be affected by existing bonus attributes of currently equipped modules. Project DIVA X features more than 300 modules, including those from all previous Project DIVA games and new ones introduced for Project DIVA X. Better prepare yourself for Chance time!

LOL – lots of laugh – is featured in the background. Check out the interview below:

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X Receives PG Rating in Australia, Published by SEGA Europe

Gematsu reports that  Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X has received a rating in Australia, suggesting that the game will in fact be released there. What’s also interesting is that SEGA Europe is listed as the game’s publisher, so this makes it rather likely that Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X will be released in Europe as well. Previously, SEGA Europe had stated that they were looking into releasing the game in Europe, although online retailer Rice Digital has been selling the EU version of the game for a while now. Hopefully, we’ll get a confirmation that the game is indeed heading to Europe soon!

SEGA Europe “Looking into Bringing Project DIVA X to Europe” + Ideas for the 20th Anniversary of NiGHTS

In the latest round of answers to #AskSEGA questions on today’s episode of SEGA Central, SEGA Europe community manager Dan Sheridan answered a question from a fan asking if they’re planning on releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in Europe:

We’ve heard feedback from Miku fans since the announcement in America and we are looking into how we can bring Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to Europe. Stay tuned for updates.

While not a confirmation that the game is coming to Europe, this at least seems a bit more encouraging than their comment on 7th Dragon III: Code VFD. Hopefully, those updates will come soon. With the game releasing on the PlayStation 4 in North America only a few days after its launch in Japan, it would certainly be a shame to see this game released much later (or not at all) in Europe.
