Atlus U.S.A. has released another character introduction trailer for Persona 5, this time featuring the game’s mascot: Morgana. Alongside the trailer we also got a new interview with Cassandra Morris, Morgana’s voice actress. Atlus (Japan) has uploaded a new set of trailers to their YouTube channel, featuring all of the upcoming Costume and BGM Set DLC that they have released for Persona 5 in Japan. While the DLC featuring the first Persona games’ costumes is available for free, the other DLC costs 800 yen ($7.64 / €6.95). While there’s no trailer for it, the game previously received swimsuit DLC as well, also made available for free to celebrate the fact that the game shipped 550.000 copies in Japan. Persona 5 is scheduled to be released in North America and Europe on February 14 for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. In Japan, the game was released on September 15, 2016.
Atlus U.S.A. has released two new videos for Persona 5, focusing on one of the game’s main characters, Ann Takamaki. The first video serves as an introduction to the character, while the second one is an interview with her English voice actress, Erika Harlacher. Persona 5 will release on February 14 in the Americas and Europe, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Interestingly, the EU version of these video show a provisional PEGI 12 rating for the game, but we can probably expect to see that changed to a PEGI 16 rating when it’s finalized (like Persona 4 Golden).
Yesterday Atlus U.S.A. already teased the English voice cast reveal for Persona 5, and today we got the details of the voice actors for the main cast. They also released two new videos: one introducing the protagonist (featuring several characters’ voices), and another showing an interview with the protagonist’s voice actor, Xander Mobus. Incidentally, the game’s ESRB rating has also been established: like Persona 3 and 4, the game will be rated M. You can find the details and videos below!

Atlus has announced that the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Persona 5 have shipped a combined total of 550,000 copies (retail + digital) in Japan. As you can imagine Atlus is pleased with these results, and as a thank you to the people who bought the game they will be releasing free DLC. One of them consists of swimsuit costumes for the game’s main cast (wearable in dungeons), while the other DLC consist of costumes, a BGM Special Set and Lambs’ Pillow accessory item, all based on the Atlus game Catherine. The swimsuit DLC will be available for free starting from October 5, while the Catherine DLC is free only for a limited time from October 5 through October 10 (after which it will cost 800 yen).
Atlus has announced Persona 5 collaborations with three different games: SEGA’s Phantasy Star Online 2, Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma Online, and Square-Enix’s Lord of Vermilion Re:3. We added the translated details from the news post of the official Japanese Persona 5 website below.
The next Tokyo Game Show will be taking place from September 15 to 18, and in preparation of the event SEGA have launched a new website detailing their lineup of games. At the moment, the websites lists Yakuza 6, Valkyria; Azure Revolution, Puyo Puyo Chronicle and Persona 5, all of which will be playable at the event.
Persona 5 will have newly-announced special online features that players can take advantage of that will add to the game-playing experience. What has been currently announced is not essential to unlocking or completing any aspect of the game, but rather is an additional feature for players to connect with their friends. For example, in the game’s daily parts you can see how your friends acted in similar situations that you’re currently experiencing, such as looking at how other friends responded to questions in school. On a given day when there are no dungeons or mandatory events involved, players also have the option to see what their friends did.
A central part of the online Persona 5 experience is the Phantom Thieves Alliance, a feature enabled through online connection to be used for battles and dungeons. It enables players to lower the Alertness Meter as you traverse dungeons, which can be helpful both for avoiding enemies and avoiding any locked areas due to increased security. In battle, the Phantom Thieves Alliance can be used as a substitute for dire situations wherein a party member is incapacitated and captured – the Alliance allows for stand-in temporary assistance from friends.
Persona 5 launches on September 15 in Japan! Meanwhile, the Americas and Europe will receive the game on Valentine’s Day, 2017.

Over the past week, Atlus has uploaded several new videos showing some more gameplay for Persona 5. The latest video shows the protagonist visiting a maid café, and previous trailers showed the protagonist making coffee and meals in the coffee shop Le Blanc, as well as going to the movies with Futaba. There’s also a trailer for the character of Yusuke Kitagawa.
