Phantasy Star Online 2 X Nier Automata

Phantasy Star Online 2 and NieR: Automata Collaboration Announced

I lost track of how many collaborations articles related to SEGA of Japan’s games we’ve posted here already, but it appears these events have been rather successful for SEGA as they’ve just announced another collaboration event for Phantasy Star Online 2. After Gravity Rush 2 earlier on, it’s now time for NieR: Automata to get a collaboration with SEGA’s online RPG.

PSO 2 X Gravity Daze 2 Collaboration

Phantasy Star Online 2 X Gravity Daze 2 Collaboration Trailer

A short trailer for the Phantasy Star Online 2 and Gravity Daze 2 collaboration has recently been shown during a Gravity Daze 2 promotional video). Starting from November 11, both Kat and Raven costumes, hairstyles and accessories will be available in Phantasy Star Online 2, along with lobby actions that show off Kat’s signature Gravity Slide move and Raven’s flight ability. It also includes an in-game Gravity Daze 2 poster decoration. You can view the new content in the trailer below. Unfortunately, Phantasy Star Online 2 remains unavailable in the West despite the fact that a localized version was officially announced over four years ago, which still hasn’t been officially cancelled. That said, an English fan translation of the Japanese version is available.

7th Dragon III PSO2

7th Dragon III Code: VFD Collaboration Coming to PSO2 in November

It’s been an eventful weekend for the Phantasy Star series and Phantasy Star Online 2 specifically. However, let’s also take note of the fact that 7th Dragon III Code: VFD will be featured in Phantasy Star Online 2 in a collaboration set for November (specific date TBA in the future,) following 7th Dragon III’s October release in Japan. It’s a modest but noticeable promotional push from Sega for what might be the last 7th Dragon game.

Players will have access to costume pieces and accessories for female versions of the Rune Knight and Fortuner classes, alongside costume items for both genders of the Samurai class. I can’t guess as to why only female versions will be available for the Rune Knight and the Fortuner. It’s strange considering the Samurai received costume Scratches for both genders.

Also worth noting is that the collaboration content will be available for the PC version and PSO2es, the smartphone version.
