Hatsune Miku Project DIVA X - May 27 - 31

SEGA Europe “Looking into Bringing Project DIVA X to Europe” + Ideas for the 20th Anniversary of NiGHTS

In the latest round of answers to #AskSEGA questions on today’s episode of SEGA Central, SEGA Europe community manager Dan Sheridan answered a question from a fan asking if they’re planning on releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in Europe:

We’ve heard feedback from Miku fans since the announcement in America and we are looking into how we can bring Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X to Europe. Stay tuned for updates.

While not a confirmation that the game is coming to Europe, this at least seems a bit more encouraging than their comment on 7th Dragon III: Code VFD. Hopefully, those updates will come soon. With the game releasing on the PlayStation 4 in North America only a few days after its launch in Japan, it would certainly be a shame to see this game released much later (or not at all) in Europe.

Ahead of the impending release of Project DIVA Future Tone in japan, SEGA have uploaded a 4-minute overview trailer for the game to the SEGA ft. Hatsune Miku YouTube account.

There’s nothing new here, but it’s a good overview of the features of the game. Simple Mode, output at 1080p and 60fps, many modules and songs between its two content packs: Future Sound and Colorful Tone. Many familiar songs are also previewed throughout the trailer.

Check it out below! Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone will release digitally to the Playstation 4 on June 23 in Japan (remember that there’s not much to play if you don’t buy the content packs first!) No word on localization at the moment.

Project DIVA PS4 Demo - LOL

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X Will Support Cross-Platform Save Data Across All Regions (UPDATE)

UPDATE: Note that you still need to use the same PSN account across the different platforms. It’s not possible to transfer save data from one PSN account on another.

Original article:

Localization Producer Sam Mullen has given Project DIVA fans some great news regarding the upcoming release of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in the West. Previously, it had been reported that the “Import Save” feature from Project DIVA F 2nd wouldn’t be present in Project DIVA X. This led fans to assume that it wouldn’t be possible to transfer savegames from the Japanese version to the US(/EU?) one. However, it turns out that this isn’t actually the case. While the import feature is indeed gone, that’s simply because it’s no longer necessary. In fact, Project DIVA X will now use a single Cross Save repository across all platforms and regions the game will be available on. For more details, we copied Sam Mullen’s explanation from NeoGAF here:

Project DIVA X PS4 VS PS VIta - Luka

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X: PlayStation Vita vs. PlayStation 4 Comparison, Part 2

In an earlier article we already compared screenshots from the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. With the footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X that SEGA of Japan provided yesterday, we can now compare how both versions of the game look in motion. It should be noted though that the PS4 version is very much a work in progress, so none of what we see is final. In fact, as I’ll point out in this article later on, some changes have already been made to the game compared to the original screenshots.

Hatsune Miky Project DIVA X Release Date

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X Release Date Set for August 30 in the Americas!

SEGA of America has revealed the release date for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X in the Americas! The game will be released on August 30 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation 4 version will cost $49.99/CA$64.99, and the PlayStation Vita version $39.99/CA$54.99. While the Japanese PS4 version was labeled as an “HD” version in its name, in the Americas both versions of the game will simply be called Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. You can view a new English trailer below, showing new PS4 footage that hasn’t even been shown for the Japanese version of the game. Clearly, it seems SEGA is really aiming for the market overseas with the PS4 version, with a release date in the Americas only five days after the release of the PS4 version in Japan. This makes is all the more unfortunate, and almost incomprehensible from a marketing standpoint, that a European version hasn’t even been announced.
