SNK and Atlus U.S.A. have announced new DLC costumes for two characters in The King of Fighters XIV: Nakoruru and Shun’ei. The costumes are available on the PlayStation Store now and cost $2.99/€1.49 each. It was also recently announced that The King of Fighters XV has been selected as an official game for EVO 2017, the largest fighting game tournament in the world. The event will take place from July 14 to 16. You can view the two trailers for the DLC below!
SNK has uploaded a new PSX 2016 teaser trailer, showing off the upcoming 1.10 update for the game on PlayStation 4. The Black Friday sales on the EU and US PlayStation Store will end soon, and since they include several Atlus games (on the EU store) and also Idea Factory International’s Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls (on the US store), we decided to make a quick article with an overview of what’s on offer. You can view that list below! The Black Friday sales end Tuesday, November 29.
The list of nominees for The Game Awards 2016 has been revealed, and while there’s no game developed by SEGA or Atlus on the list, there are still two games that have some link to the companies. First of all, Enhanced Games’ Rez Infinite, the enhanced port of the original Dreamcast game, is nominated in two categories: “Best VR game” and “Best Music / Sound Design”. The VR port of the game has received very positive reactions, particularly for its new Area X, a new mode specifically designed to take advantage of the PS4 hardware. Having played the game, I can say that it certainly deserves the nominations.

This is something to be avoided if you are particularly invested in experiencing the mythology of fighting games independently of any spoilers.

It’s a crazier week than normal for The King of Fighters XIV. First – the formal introduction of Team Another World, featuring characters who are new to the King of Fighters franchise. Both Atlus and Deep Silver have provided their own character descriptions for the team. However, Atlus and Deep Silver also made mention of different promotional events of their own for The King of Fighters XIV in their statements…
This week’s The King of Fighters: XIV trailer features the Ikari Warriors – Ralf, Leona, and Clark. Another classic KOF team. Despite their tough and grizzly appearance, a lot of the attacks here are pretty flashy (even comical?) and the theme music is upbeat. Ralf, apparently, has a flair for the dramatic:
