About a week ago, SEGA of Japan announced that they were running a series of polls to gauge fan interest levels in particular characters and franchises – most notably featuring a variety of legacy SEGA options.
During today’s SEGA Fes. stream, the results of the polls were announced. The corresponding NeoGAF thread (with specific post cited below) has compiled both the ranked results for each of the three polls and the number of votes each franchise received, with the top ten options being listed for each poll.
To recap, there were three questions: which franchise do you want to see revived, which brand are you most invested in, and who is your favorite SEGA character. The results are as follows (credited to NeoGAF user The Bankslammer, and Phanton River Stone for additional entries):
As part of the 17th entry into the Game Symphony Japan Concert Series, GSJ has announced a new and familiar performance concept – the SEGA Special 2016! Set for July 17th of this year, it features many songs from the Sonic the Hedgehog, NiGHTS into Dreams…, Puyo Puyo, Sakura Wars, and Space Channel 5 franchises. This event continues Game Syphony Japan’s performances of SEGA-themed music.
Seating tickets are separated into three classes. S class seating costs ¥8,500, A class seating costs ¥7,500, and B class seating costs ¥6,500. Special musical guests include Tomoya Ohtani, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, and Jun Senoue. The venue will be the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Sony have launched another round of sales on the US PlayStation Store, and the list includes several SEGA and Atlus games. On the SEGA side, we have several classic SEGA games such as Daytona USA, NiGHTS into Dreams as well as newer games such as Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Resonance of Fate. Note that some of these sales end on April 26, while others end one week later on May 5.
